• On April 17, 2024, a group of master’s students benefited from a study visit to the Chisinau Court, Central Headquarters, to see how justice is done in the Republic of Moldova, beyond course notes and university walls.
  • The purpose of the visit was to give the master’s students an overview of the organizational and functional foundations of the national judiciary, through direct communication with representatives of the judicial authority and through direct access to the court premises.
  • We are grateful to the representatives of the Chisinau Court, the Central Headquarters, for their openness and professionalism – an attitude perceived par excellence as an indicator of human-friendly justice.
  • The Judge Radu ȚURCANU, the Deputy Head of the Secretariat Ludmila NICHITIN, the judicial assistant Doinita VOVNECIUC and the clerk Vera POPUȘOI managed to capture the attention and interest of the master’s students through the value of the topics addressed, through legal arguments, practical examples, and notes of humour.
  • The visiting master’s students are enrolled in the ‘Human Rights and Democratization’ master’s program at the Centre for European Studies, Yerevan State University. At the moment, they are in academic mobility at the Law Faculty of the Moldova State University, the ‘Public Law and Electronic Government’ master’s program. The areas of interest explored concern human rights and in particular children’s rights. • ‘Attending a session with Judges and court staff at the Chisinau Court was worth the long sitting. It was a delight, and I want to express my sincere thanks for enjoying such an opportunity. It was a truly unforgettable experience that I will cherish’ (Isatou B. Jallow, master student in academic mobility, Masters’ Program Public Law and E-Government, MSU).
