🎓 The Public Law Department of the Law Faculty, MSU had the honour of organizing the Section ‘Tradition and Evolution in National Legal Science’, as part of the prestigious International Conference ‘Yesterday’s heritage – implications for the development of tomorrow’s sustainable society’, 5th edition, organized by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
✨ This year’s event has been dedicated to the theme ‘Women in Research: Destinies, Contributions, Perspectives’, highlighting the essential role of women in legal research and the contemporary challenges of gender equality in law.
👩🏫⚖️💼 Participants – professors, researchers, and PhD students – analyzed key topics such as:
✅ Paradigm shifts regarding the feminization of law in the context of new security challenges
✅ Research and innovation through the lens of gender equality
✅ Conceptualizing legal justice and its impact on national legislation
✅ Administrative decentralization and new challenges in governance
✅ The right to disconnect in labor law and work-life balance
✅ Conceptual models and algorithms in legal sciences
✅ Protecting the contractual rights of refugee women in wartime
✅ Strengthening child protection mechanisms and the role of law in ensuring their security
✅ Developing digital competencies in legal education and adapting to the technological era.
🎓📚 The team of the Scientific Research Laboratory ‘Comparative Public Law and E-Government’ was actively involved in the conference proceedings, presenting scientific results obtained in the context of the project ‘Strengthening socio-economic and legal mechanisms for ensuring the well-being and security of citizens’.
📢 The section was moderated by Prof. Dr. Hab. Rodica CIOBANU, Head of the Public Law Department ⚖️, and Dr. Natalia CRECIUN.
💬 Participants engaged in debates, raised key questions, and appreciated the dedication of a special section to women in legal research as a crucial factor in strengthening social cohesion and modernizing legal education.
